Text: Describes the first V.U. Regatta, held in early October 1971 at Lake Sun & Sand, across the river in Illinois. Activities included a bonfire, a song-fest, the main event canoe race, two-legged races, a sandcastle building contest, and a dance with music by "Moses". Winners of the women's race were DECA, first place; Alpha Theta Chi, second place; Morris Hall, third place. In the men's race, the winners were Harrison Hall Team #16 and Felix Gifford, first place tie; Town Housing Team #13, third place.
