Back row: Patty Proutt, Betty Soden, Robert Engle, Ethel Stack, Lois Robinson, Patsy Nichols, George Combs, Helen Sours, Orrelle Cornelius, Peggy Williams, Barbara Price, Peggy Alexander. Reorganized during the 1947-1948 school year, this club began with 37 members but has grown in both membership and purpose. 1947-1948 Officers: Dick Brown, President; Patsy Nichols, Vice-President; Patti Roellgen, Secretary; Arista Whitfield, Reporter; Tom Duesterberg, Treasurer. W.A.O.V. allotted the club a half-hour every other Tuesday evening to present plays, the first of which was Dickens' "The Christmas Carol" in December 1947. A reproduction of this radio play in December 1948 featured the original 1947 cast, some of which traveled from as far away as Colorado to participate. 1948-1949 Officers: George Combs, President; Helen Sours, Vice-President; Patsy Nichols, Secretary; Richard Ertel, Treasurer.
