EXAMINATIONS AND REPORTS: Describes the frequency of examinations and how averages of exam grades determine the student's standing in the class, and also describes how deductions are made for absences in recitation or failures in reciting. Also describes how reports are made to parents of a student's standing in studies and deportment, and how certificates of promotion are presented to students at the close of every school year who have maintained their standing in studies. GRADING: Describes grading scale, mandatory make-up work if average is less than 75, loss of standing in the class if two studies are failed, and make-up work being allowed for absence caused by illness. APPARATUS: Describes apparatus for Natural Science, Natural Philosophy, and Chemistry. Right page: CABINET: Describes valuable collection of relics, bones, specimens, ores, volcanic rocks, and fossils. LIBRARY: Describes addition of the Vincennes Library Association collection and plans to acquire all the standard works for its new room. TEXTBOOKS: Suggests the student bring the following books, lists 27 books that will be needed for classes. GOVERNMENT: Describes principles, rules, honor, integrity, and expulsion if immoral behavior continues.
