P. Gould, U. S. Army, to supply an annual gold medal (valued at $25) for excellence in oratory; gives Faculty rules for the contest. Lists winners: 1885: Joseph C. Bryan; 1886: Miss Lloyd Allen; 1887: Mr. Maurice Moore; 1888: Mr. Fred Chancellor; 1889: Miss Alice Kelso; 1890: Edwyn E. Watts; 1891: Mamie Kelso. THE PRESIDENT'S PRIZE: Prize medal valued at $10 to the member of the Senior Class passing the highest examination in Latin, awarded at Commencement.
