Left page: ANNOUNCEMENT: Describes past year as most successful in university history, freshman enrollment increase of 26%, passing grade advanced to 80%, new departments, increased work in existing departments, thorough and enthusiastic work; advantages over other schools in equipment, library, laboratory, and good teachers; encourages students to choose schools based on faculty. TEACHERS' COURSE: Describes new spring term classes especially designed for teachers, consisting of a review of the "common branches" and lectures on the science and art of teaching. Right page: TEACHERS' COURSE, cont.: Describes preparation to obtain a high grade license by mastery of the subjects taught; opportunity to study History, Language, Literature, and Science; opportunity to enter without examination. GRADUATION IN THE TEACHERS' COURSE: Describes requirements based on accomplishments rather than time in the course. Lists required studies: General History, English and American Literature, Psychology, Science, Algebra, Civil Government, for a total of 12 credits. Describes work taking an average of two years, offering an excellent and liberalizing education for teachers in the common schools, thorough in every respect, successful over the past year, advantage of a permanent institution.
