Left page: EXPENSES: Describes estimated year's expense of $150, including room, board, fees, books, and incidental expenses; need for a good warm room, wholesome food, plenty of books and a little pleasure; ways to economize; describes schools offering "cheap" board or tuition as "cheap" in instruction and benefits. DIVISION OF SESSIONS: Describes three terms: fall (15 weeks), winter (11 weeks), spring (11 weeks), 38 weeks in all; describes beginning and end dates of terms, Entrance Day activities. Right page: DIVISIONS OF THE DAY: Describes four recitation periods in the morning and two in the afternoon, each being 50 minutes in length; daily Chapel exercises from 9: 50 to 10: 10; military drill at 3: 05 pm; schedule as I, II, Chapel, III, IV, Noon, V, VI, Drill. EXAMINATIONS: Describes special tests, regular examinations at close of term, mid-term examinations at faculty discretion, and student standing. CREDITS: Describes record of student work being kept in terms of "credits, " one for each subject pursued; describes student classification according to credits earned: Freshman: 0-12 credits; Sophomore: 13-24 credits; Junior: 25-33 credits; Senior: 34-42 credits. WORK DONE BY TEACHERS: Describes work done by "Teachers" kept in separate record books; non-acceptance of this work for credit; work of the "Teachers' Class" one term subject review's equivalency to preparatory work.
