's unique position in the educational field, including an academic Dept. equivalent to a commissioned high school and a collegiate Dept. with two years' college work; designed for preparation rather than specialization and a full-fledged college; describes different purpose of this school to develop the student and furnish ideals and inspiration when the student is immature and unsettled, aims of preparation for original work, inspiration, awakening of ambition, training for specialization in a larger institution; admission of graduates to state universities. Right page: Describes graduates occupying positions of trust and prominence. SCOPE & PURPOSE: 1. THE COLLEGE: two years of regular college work, designated as First and Second Collegiate, benefiting students who wish to enter a professional school, one of the great universities, or a career. 2. THE ACADEMY: three years of work equivalent to a four year commissioned high school, divided into First, Second, and Third Preparatory, especially for students not supplied with a good high school.
