Right page: During the year, the Board of Trustees passed a resolution changing the founding date on the Vincennes University seal from 1806 to 1801, based on research by Curtis G. Shake, Board President, which established the direct connection between Jefferson Academy and Vincennes University, and that the University grew out of the earlier Academy.
