The team, founded in 1962-63, is directed by Coach Ben Johnson, Physical Education Dept. The team practiced twice a week and made five appearances in Beless Gym during the basketball season. They also appeared at the following schools: Petersburg, Monroe City, Elnora, Washington, Wheatland, Otell, Robinson (IL), Decker, St. Francisville (IL), Carlisle, Pleasantville, and locally at Adams Coliseum. Governor Ristine, Mr. Gordon Hall, Dr. Donald Cook, as well as the William Jewell College Choir, the V.U Playhouse, the tenth anniversary celebration of Vincennes University "under the trees," the Ensemble, Athletic Honors, Outstanding Scholar Honors Day, awards for intramural football players, introduction of basketball players and cheerleaders, and a religious convocation.
